FAST FACTS ABOUT MEGAN PETTUS VIDEOGRAPHY

What do you shoot with?

I shoot all Sony, A73, if you want to get technical. And I also have ventured into the world of super eight film. And so I shoot on a refurbished, Canon super 8 film camera.

What’s your favorite post-wedding or event snack?

My friend Candace introduced me to Car-cuterie and that is my new favorite post-wedding snack. It is a charcuterie for the car. You just make yourself a little charcuterie for the car and you keep it in your icebox. And whenever you are driving the hour or two home after a wedding, you just enjoy it. Of course, you know, enjoy responsibly, don’t pair the Vino with it.

What’s your favorite wedding/creative pump up jam?

I’m a nerd. I love listening to podcasts and like other educational resources that I have learned from in the past.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of your business?

I am a Lake lady. I love going to the Lake and being on the pontoon. And it’s just where my favorite memories are made.

What is your favorite education you’ve learned from?

The E3 community! The community has been fabulous and I’m so I was honored when Courtney reached out and invited me, I was one of the first people to sign up in the spring of last year. And it’s been fabulous.

What is one thing you feel like your business partner is really great at in your business?

I’m really enjoying the filmmaking portion of my business. Being able to serve people in this way of telling their story and telling their family’s history. I’ve always had this unique ability to be in a moment, living it while still being able to recognize that this is a core memory that’s being made.

So I think that’s something I’m really good at.

I’m on clubhouse too!

Do you have any special announcements/offers for our listeners?

We’ve been talking about education this whole time and specifically mentoring and it’s been on my heart for a while to start offering mentoring to people that are interested.

In the video world, I think there’s a need for more female educators in the video industry. And so I’m excited to be offering my voice to that industry. And if people feel like they connect to me and my lifestyle and where I’m currently at in the industry and want to learn from me, they can just shoot me an email and let’s see if we’re a good fit for a mentor-mentee relationship.
