DUSTIN DARES YOU

It’s controversial but shoot aperture priority. Learning to shoot manual and knowing how to shoot manual is fantastic. This goes for film and digital, just try aperture priority.The biggest thing you have to know the aperture priority is that you are using the meter that is in your camera. It depends on the photographer, but it can allow you to work less, which allows you then to just focus on the moments. That’s what I’m doing and it has helped me.

FAST FACTS ABOUT {GUEST NAME}

What do you shoot with? OR What is your favorite tool in biz? [WHATEVER WE ASKED]

Film-wise I currently shoot with 35mm Canon SLRs. I don’t have any medium format, so I have a Canon 1V and then a rebel K2. For my digital, I shoot with Sony A7RV with Sigma lenses with a converter.

What’s your favorite post-wedding or event snack?

It’s not the best but I like to do fast food, so I usually like to put Taco Bell or Arby’s. I’ve got to get like a Jamocha shake.

 What’s your favorite wedding/creative pump up jam?

Probably Color Me Badd.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of your business?

Hike and camp with my wife and my son. Just being outdoors.

What is one daring the leap you’ve taken in your business?

Just going forward and really being true to myself and sticking with it. I feel like it’s working out well so far.

What is one thing you feel like you’re really great at in your business?

The technical stuff and I retain what I read really well. With the technical more specifically is to kind of take a topic and go back a few steps to more of the origin of it. So meaning I more deeply understand certain areas because I can understand a little bit more of the core of it.
