041: THE DISCONTINUATION OF FUJI 400H FILM – DARING to Change Up Your Processes with DUSTIN STOCKEL & PATRICK LE

January 25, 2021

If you are a part of the film community that you have heard of Fuji 400H. Last week Fuji just came out with the discontinuation of their film, which has rocked the film wedding world. We’re noticing some nervous photographers in our community, so we wanted to take this opportunity to talk about how to navigate this time.

We’re bringing on two experts in the industry Dustin Stokel, who is the creator of the Archetype Process. Dustin is a wizard and is so knowledgeable of all films so we wanted to hear from him.

Patrick Le of The Apollo Workshops  also is with us today who is a film photographer and educator who teaches all about OCF (off-camera lighting with film) and is very knowledgeable about different film stocks and a big advocate of shooting Portra400, and knowing that you can create a similar vibe with different film stocks.

DUSTIN STOCKEL, PATRICK LE, KRISTINE HERMAN & ASH BAUMGARTNER DARE YOU:

  • Kristine Herman and Ash Baumgartner Dare You To: Try a new film stock in this off/slow season
  • Patrick Le Dares You To: Try new styles by starting a personal project
  • Dustin Stockel Dares You To: Experiment with the film and those exposure sheets
