026: DEVELOPING a Luxury Brand in a Small Market with ALISHA CROSSLEY PHOTOGRAPHY

August 13, 2020

We’re welcoming Alisha of Alisha Crossley photography with us today. AIisha is from a small town in Alabama and travels the world with her clients. In today’s episode, we’ll discuss developing connections in a luxury market even if you’re currently based in a smaller market. There’s so much information in this and we can’t wait for you to hear it.

ALISHA CROSSLEY DARES YOU:

To do something that you don’t think you’re capable of doing it can be big, it can be small. It can be messaging that client to say, “Hey, congratulations, let me know if I can serve you.” It can simply be making a new recipe. It could be, you know, so applying for that scholarship or grant.

Be brave and just do it. Get yourself acclimated to being brave.

Sony A7iii.  I also shoot film, mostly a Contax 645 and then Pentax 645, medium format. I do have a couple of old, small 35 mm film cameras.

What’s your favorite post-wedding or event snack?

I’m such a snacker. We almost always post-wedding pull up into Taco Bell.

What’s your favorite wedding/creative pump up jam?

I have a wedding day playlist and I’m always changing it up based on new songs. It’s very eclectic.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of your business?

I really love to write. I taught English middle school and undergrad. I studied art and English, so I am just a sucker for a good afternoon on my hammock with a book.

What is one daring the leap you’ve taken in your business?

So many things! I am not risk-averse. I’m always the person to send the email to say “Hey, would you consider doing this? Hey, would you like to do this?”.

What is one thing you feel like you’re really great at in your business?

The thing that I do well with because it’s so ingrained with me is love on my clients. It is to serve them.
